So, are you missing Seinfeld? Well, fear not! Director Barry Levinson has put together a brilliant 5 minute short film for American Express starring Jerry Seinfeld and (naturally) Superman. You can view the QuickTime version, or visit the advertisement’s main website.

You know… one day I’ll get a normal 7 hours of sleep like everyone else… just not tonight.

Ugh. Any tips or tricks to get to sleep? Should I hit my head with a tack hammer until I pass out? Sigh…

Things are starting to come together… I am finally getting caught up with my existing projects, and am now ready to take on some new ones. I’m looking at customizing the catalog system I wrote for UltraCart for some other merchants, as well as put together a proposal for JRL’s digital asset management system. I’ve also been taking some time to read the book Waking The Dead, which has been really helpful in reminding me that life is more than just going through the day. I’m a busy bee™.

Anyway, tomorrow’s April Fool’s Day. Unfortunately there really isn’t anyone I feel motivated to play a prank on. Any ideas?

Ahh… New Orleans

So, how was everyone’s weekend? Mine was okay… I had to run the sound board at church tonight. I always get nervous when I have to do sound, because I don’t do it that often, and it’s a killer sound setup.

I went out with everyone to see Hidalgo. It wasn’t bad. A good solid flick.

TGIF! Right now I’ve had about 6 hours of sleep in the last 2 days. It’s really odd.. I am completely exhausted, but not tired. It’s also having a detrimental effect on my productivity. I am just having a hard time concentrating.

Yesterday was interesting. I had a Churches of Merced web team meeting, and one of the other participants accidentally took my keys with her, causing me to have one of the most long afternoons in recent history. Since Rob was out of town, I had a car parked in front of Wired that I couldn’t get into, and an apartment that I couldn’t get into. I was finally able to track down the keys at around 7pm (the meeting was at 1pm), so it was definately a LONG afternoon. I’ve resolved to create a couple of spare key sets and give them to just about everyone I’ve ever met. It’s a stastical thing…

I really don’t have any weekend plans… right now all I can think about is going home and going to bed. Sounds like a good plan to me.

I am more determined than ever to get that camera I want. Imagine how awesome this picture would have been had I used a Digital SLR instead of the crummy little digital camera I have now. Sigh….

So, I finally got around to putting up two new sections of photo gallery. The first is of the house our men’s group is fixing up, and the second are a few images from Mark’s birthday party. Take a look!

Man, is Amazon.com rude when things don’t work like they should…

I love it when programmers get to express themselves in error messages…

I can’t believe I missed this one…

One year (and two weeks) ago, I packed everything I owned (except for my NARC Coin-Op) into a big tractor trailer and moved 2500 miles west.

I’m still unsure of what I was thinking, or what I was doing. Has it been a growing process? Yes. Have I learned from it? Yes. Do I regret it? No.

I think what makes me sad is that I genuinely thought I would be further along the road of life than I am. I mean, I thought I’d have a girlfriend / fiance by now, maybe a normal, 9-5 full time job, and thinking about buying a house or something. But the only real difference between here and the east coast is, well, the location. I guess it’s true what they say… no matter where you run to, you’ll always be right there.
