The Other Baptists
John Anderson | January 27, 2008Having grown up in a Southern Baptist family, I can completely relate to the concerns voiced in this article. The SBC has become a puppet front for the extreme right-wing of the country, and has become more and more backwards in its reluctance to address the needs of today’s world-weary traveller.
In the words of Andy Stanley, the church is the pitcher, the message is the water. The pitcher changes shapes, colors, and styles as the years pass by. But the water always remains the same.
